It’s not easy juggling ‍‍ it all and playing dress-up. Just kidding, if only we could play dress up, right?

You know, honestly, since I, Ginna Gonzalez Tassanelli, broke off from Corporate America, sometimes I find it harder to figure out what to wear now, especially those days that I don’t have to see my clients from my marketing agency.

In my corporate job days, I had my work outfit formula down, a uniform of sorts. Blouses, pants, heels, blazers, and bling of course.

So, I’m going to share with you three simple steps that saved me each morning when I stepped into my closet and had to get ready for my corporate job.

In fact, today, when I get to work out of the home to meet with clients, I still use these steps and they really are lifesavers!

And NO, they don’t include going out and buying a whole new work wardrobe. We’re going to use our closet basics for this! There’s nothing better than saving money while feeling fabulous and being productive at the same time!

These simple steps to create a fabulous work wardrobe are such a quick and easy process that anyone can do!

Check out how your closet is organized

This is gonna make a huge difference. And I always talk about this because it really does make a difference when I reorganize my closet in a way that I can see everything that’s in there.

I do have a checklist that I use and love to help me. It’s my ultimate closet cleanup checklist and I think it could be a game-changer for all of you as well.

When I redid my closet organization with this method, it was a huge eye-opener for me. I had things organized by color, which is, to me it just makes a big difference. It makes my outfit choosing process so simple and quick.

Do you guys organize your closet in your wardrobe by color? If you haven’t done it by color, I definitely would suggest trying it. If you feel that it takes you a little bit longer than you’d like to get ready in the morning and put an outfit together, organizing by color can be a big help.

Make sure that you have the right basics

What I’m going to talk to you about today are some basics and then I threw in some extra fashion pieces that honestly I do think we need in our basics wardrobe. And I also have my full list of basics that I think are necessary. I have that as well.

So if you’re into the whole capsule wardrobe, you actually might really enjoy this a lot.

One simple clothing set is going to be three tops, two pants, and a fashion layering accessory piece. This is going to be the first set of my work capsule.

Then my second set is also the same. I’ve got three tops, two pants, a fashion piece layering piece, and a blazer. And here’s kind of the method to my madness with this.

I can actually mix and match all of these pieces together and they will all work together. And in the end, you come out like 60 something outfits. It’s pretty crazy.

You can change around the tops and pants combination, add a fun blazer or dress, change out your jewelry pieces, wear differently with new colors – and the list goes on and on.

A pop of color really goes a long way and gives your wardrobe a refresh and that outfit suddenly becomes new so you can do it with your clothing and also with your jewelry also. To start, grab a solid color top orange neutral color talk. Step two, is going to be your fashion layering piece and then lastly, you’re going to want to add in some jewelry as well.

Add some fun jewelry pieces to your look

Now, step three, which is the very last thing that you want to do but it’s the very first thing that people notice about you, is your jewelry. If you’re not huge into jewelry, it is okay, take baby steps.

It will make you feel more comfortable and I’m telling you jewelry is it’s like the cake topper on a cake. It’s the icing on a cupcake. You can’t really eat a cupcake without icing, right? Try some jewelry and if you’re not a big jewelry fan, just take baby steps and do something simple.
